'Mind-boggling' Brexit rules hit British food exports by £3bn a year (Sky News)

Sky News article looks at analysis from the CITP's Briefing paper 17 - An EU-UK SPS Agreement: The perils and possibilities of (re)alignment, which found that the shipping of UK food and agricultural products to the EU has fallen by more than 16% on average across the three years since Britain left the single market. While the fall has coincided with the war in Ukraine and the COVID pandemic, the exports between the UK and EU "demonstrate no recent signs of regaining previous levels".
