Bio
Sung-Ju Wu is a researcher within the Centre for Inclusive Trade Policy (CITP) and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Economics, University of Nottingham and will join the Institute of Economics, Academia Sinica as an Assistant Research Fellow in the autumn of 2025. He completed his PhD in economics at Duke University in 2024.
Sung-Ju's main research fields are international trade and economic development, with a focus on firm investment and trade participation decisions across space and the resulting welfare impacts. His job market paper investigates the welfare implication of the US-China trade war in Vietnam when foreign-owned manufacturers repatriate their profits.
