Bio
Sung-Ju Wu is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at School of Economics, University of Nottingham and will join Institute of Economics, Academia Sinica as an Assistant Research Fellow in Fall 2025. He completed a Ph.D. in economics at Duke University in 2024.
Sung-Ju's main research fields are international trade and economic development, with a focus on firm investment and trade participation decisions across space and the resulting welfare impacts. His job market paper investigates the welfare implication of the US-China trade war in Vietnam when foreign-owned manufacturers repatriate their profits.
