Northern Ireland raises a complex UK-EU trade issue for EU CBAM. This paper presents research on solutions to facilitate seamless trade and effective climate cooperation. The authors look at four potential scenarios and conclude that to mitigate negative impacts, the UK and the EU should link their Emissions Trading Systems and the UK should implement an EU-style CBAM too.
